A trip of a life time !

Me & a couple of friends were planning a trip which would help us rejuvenate & get energized. As we all were bored from our daily routines & wanted to run away for good, so for doing that we started planning a trip which will help us get over our problem's & bring a smile on our faces. So as usual with a randomized manner we started the discussion and asked the guys for their opinions! But as usual no result as no one would get serious so i asked the guys who all are serious about this trip & would not ditch after everything is final so 8 names came in including me. Relieved we took the conversation to the next day & then we 8 pals sat together & had a chat as in where to go & how t go, a lot of ideas can in which includes air,rail & road... As a few of us were not willing to spend more we were stuck again... At last Me & my friend ravi who love riding planned that we would go on a bike trip as my bike was new i was happy too as it wold feel good to know your machine better & believe me i was already 50% happy :) So from here comes the main part where to go.... As my bike was new i proposed going to shirdi in this way we would have a long ride & get rejuvenated by visiting BABA (Sai Baba).So without any objections the guys were good with it! So after all this the main problem for me was to get a permission from home as it was a bike trip & a long one.So i asked my parent & first it was a no then gradually it became a Yes :) thanks to my Parents because of who this trip became possible. All set now so we planned the date's & were looking forward for it, But then came a surprise from 8 guys 2 guys quit now we were left to 6 in which 2 were floating But as people say if Baba wants you to visit him everthing will trun out ok same happened with us we had a chat again & asked the 2 guys what was their plan>> they said they can't join in ! hmmmmmmm there was nothing we could do as it was their wish now it was upto us 4.... After all the talking we finalized the dates it was 10/03/2007 the day we will be leaving for shirdi & after a night halt at Shani shingnapur we would return om 11/03/2007 Now the names were final & with a psy of relief & the joy of visiting BABA withmy new bike everthing just seemed in place.So the final for that made it were Me(Vickeey pandit), Ravi Singh, Rehmat Shiekh & Kiran gada A.K.A Marvadi & two Rides My Karizma & Ravi's Electra. So that made us 2bikes + 2Riders + 2pillions.

This was a 2 Day trip 10/03/2007 - 11/03/2007 !

Starting Point = Ruia Ka Katta (Dadar/Matunga) @ 6:30am

Destination = Shirdi - Shani Shingnapur

2 Rides = Karizma + Bullet Electra.
2 Riders = Vickeey Pandit + Ravi singh.
2 Pillions = Rehmat Shiekh + Kiran Gada

Total Km = 650+ km Too & fro !

Day(1) > 10/03/2007

All set Ready with the riding gear i.e in our case helmets which were essential !
We all Met at our very own Ruia ka Katta at sharp 6:30am & started on a good note looking forward for our journey ahead !

First halt was on the thane-bhiwandi Bridge for some click's :)

After all the photography we needed to Fuel in So,
Second halt that we made was for fuelling after We Crossed Diva

All fueled up Full Tank ! ;)
Here we go again as we had already planned & talked that we will take small breaks after 50-60 kms....
We took off & believe me there was no looking back we were riding on steady speeds!
The Next halt that we made was for Breakfast whih we did at Sai Dhaba Before kasara Ghat !
After all the fab nashta we were all fueled up our selves & then started off again... after the ghat & covering a few kms... we stoped as the sun was on our head & it was getting hot & was the time to take of the morning jacket & stretch as we were only half way gone !

After all the stretching & relaxing we accelerated towards the ghoti Road which was a superb road as we were told !

The Best road To ride our Bikes the view was ausum & clean superb roads...

Reached Shirdi .... Om Sai Ram ! Was happy to core...

We took a room as we reached shirdi @ 2:15 Pm
ordered some tea, Before the tea came we jumped on the beds to get a quick nap & after the nap had a chat about the route to shingnapur & by what time should we leave so that we can reach there & have a night halt ! after the discussions we all freshened up & went for the que at the temple.Believe me we were luck & as we went in at 4:00pm there was a huge line after us....
Our darshan was over by 5:30pm & then we had some evenning snacks as we had to leave for Shani shingnapur...

After all the Prasad shopping At a near by friends store we sat on out bikes & left for Shingnapur
As we were a bit late & the sun was diminishing.. We had to cover our 85km Stretch in total dark & believe me it was dark the only thing we could see was our not so powerful headlamps & the Headlamps that were coming towards us very fast on the highway... That was one heack of a night ride we Had... Total dark the only thing that you could see was the head lamps coming towards you on the narrow road.... At last by gods grace we reached the Shingnapur entry ...
Now we had another obstacle other than the no light on the road thing that was the bad road as we were to pass through the village we had to be extra causious .....

After all the Dark & the Bad roads we had reached Shingnapur :)
we then had to look for a place for the night halt, we were greted by adgent on our way near the temple sayig sir room leh loh/Prasad leh loh... that was a heck of a welcome people puling you from both the sides.... phew...!!!
We then took the rooms constructed by the shrime ! we parked our bikes & went to the rooms...
As the rooms had no door's we were not at all afraid as that's a holy place & has a lot of history !
The room had 4 seperate beds ... We were happy :) we quickly kept the bags & got ready to go in for the darshan as the temple is open all night that was not a problem we did the darshan at 10:30pm & then we were free...
All changed up & ready to have a gr8 dinner... hopefully....
Yes Hpefully we got to a near by dhaba which was waking distance right of to the temple... Served us nice food.. then we went in for a small stroll on the bikes.... As it was getting darker & darker we headed back & Parked our rides & called it a Day ....

Day (2) 11/03/2007

After a hecatic & enjoyable Day1 we were headed for the second Leg of the Trip.
The route taking us to our home ... ;)
after a late night we all got up willingly as we had already done what we had come here for So we got up a bit late & got ready to leave By 11:00Am..

We then took the route towards Ahmednagar fro shani shingnapur.. this is the first halt we made on the way where we had Garam Indian Burger's called Vada Pav ! Superbly cooked Vada pav were delicious...

Vada Pav stall behing us... the vadapav wala was kind enough to give us some hot vada pav...

Here we go again...
The Second stop was Near Ahmed nagar where we had some fun as we were about to touch NH222 towards Mumbai....
We had a nice sugarcane juice & had some fun in the plantation they had there ...

NH222 was superb throught only a few bad patches & we could only see people after every 30-40km covered... A ausum road & a fab stretch of a road to ride on... totally loved it ..
took the bike to the limits...

Stopped On NH222 near some village as my friends wanted to visit the temple which was on our way ...

Before Malshet/Malshej Ghat ...

when we Reached Malshet/Malshej Ghat the Bikes were parked & the camera were ready to shoot... ;)

we continued our ride & reached Mumbai Safe & sound... @5:10pm...
